More Wisdom and Foolishness in the Strangest Places!

"The trend among singletons will bite back in 40 years' time. I'll be holding the woman of my dreams, enjoying our grandkids and laughing my zimmer off, and they'll be desperately cruising the local rest homes in a last ditch attempt to find happiness. Forgive me, but I know where I'd rather be."

(Man quoted in secular magazine.)

There are some really dappy dozy male Christians out there who don't know their arse from their elbow when it comes to dating beautiful women.

This is a very good point about grandparents, and one that is often overlooked.
Say a man becomes a father at 35, and his son also then becomes a father at 35. The grandfather is then 70 years old and the chances of a great-grandafather being alive are very slim.
Contrast this with a man who becomes a father at 25, whose son then becomes a father himself at 25. The grandfather is an active 50 year old, and there is a good likelihood that a great-grandfather will be alive at 75.
It seems like God knows what He is talking about when He says "the wife of your youth" several times in the Bible.
Not only is it better and healthier for the parents and the child, but it is also great for interaction between the generations and the fun, help and wisdom they can bring.
Just makes so much sense...
