What happened to the great Christian battle?

"Every Muslim man knows that he is locked in a great battle between good and evil, and although that was a prevalent teaching in Christianity until about 100 years ago, today it's primarily about having a relationship with a man who loves you unconditionally.

"And if that's the punch line of the Gospel, then you're going to have a lot more women than men taking you up on your offer because women are interested in a personal relationship with a man who loves you unconditionally. Men, generally, are not."

David Murrow, author of "Why men hate going to church", with the above taken from a Washington Post article.

Note what David Murrow says:

"The whole thing would grind to a halt," said Murrow, who said he wrote the book for laywomen in particular. "They're the ones who are suffering most from this gender gap. A lot of women feel overworked and underappreciated in our churches today because they are carrying the load."

What he doesn't say is that the women feel underappreciated becuase they are often not married to Christian men, therefore either single or dating or married to men who aren't Christians or aren't keen on church.

The most negative effect of the gender gap as far as women are concerned is that a lot of Christian women are not getting married to Christian men.

That's all true.
But I would like to revisit what we term "Christian" men.
Men in the church are few and far between, and all too often, have been emasculated to the point of not actually being "men" at all.
In the world, however, there are belivers who are in the midst of the battle between good and evil and are strong advocates for justice. They just don't realise that God is there with them.
